Clinical Nurse Manager – Tissue Viability Nurse

TTM Healthcare Solutions in partnership with our client a state-of-the-art step-down care facility based in North Dublin (221 Top Class Accommodation) who offer care following surgery and treatments for accidents or major surgery in an acute hospital are actively looking to recruit a Tissue Viability Nurse (CNM Grade) to join their team.

Position: Tissue Viability Nurse (CNM)

Reports to: Assistant Director of Nursing Accountable to: Director of Nursing Purpose of the Post:

The role of the Tissue Viability Nurse is to develop and maintain an efficient tissue viability service for patients/residents; families and the MDT to prevent potential tissue damage as well as advise on current wounds. Tissue viability is an umbrella term which may include acute and chronic wounds. The post holder will also have a Quality role in the Nursing Department and participate in relevant and appropriate teaching, practice development initiatives, audit and research as agreed by the Director of Nursing. The post holder will be delegated to take lead on specific projects across the specialties within the organisation. He or she will act as a role model for all staff.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Registered on the Live Register in the General Division of the Register of Nurses as maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.

Hold/willing to work towards a post-graduate diploma in Tissue Viability Nursing Desirable:

Skills and/or Experience:

Have at least 5 years post registration experience

Two years post registration experience in Tissue Viability Evidence of consistent updating of clinical skills and knowledge Experience of active participation within an MDT Health:

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
