Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist who will have responsibility for the provision of a specialised service to children with a diagnosis of autism and an intellectual disability aged between 3 -18 years. This role also involves providing consultation support to a respite service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of an effective, efficient, quality assured occupational therapy service for children with autism and an intellectual disability and their families.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in order to deliver an evidence-based child and family-centred therapy service.
- To liaise with the Director of Service/Administration and Medical Director Manager and other disciplines by attending Multi-disciplinary meetings, management and planning meetings and engage in written recording and verbal reporting.
- Undertake appropriate assessment in order to support the child, their family, and the staff who work with them to understand and appreciate their strengths and barriers to functioning and participation at home, school and within their local community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- At least 3 years post graudate experience in Occupational Therapy
- Experience in working with children with Autism and Intellectual disabilities
- Full registration with CORU
- Experience in sensory integration and sensory regulation.
