We are seeking a Senior Medical Scientist with expertise in Blood Transfusion to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Blood Transfusion laboratory setting and have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
– Perform serological testing on patient samples to ensure compatibility for blood transfusions – Perform quality control testing and maintain accurate records – Provide technical expertise and guidance to laboratory staff – Participate in continuing education and maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in Blood Transfusion – Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements – Participate in research and development of new testing methodologies
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field – Minimum of 3 years of experience in Blood Transfusion laboratory setting – CORU Registration – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
