Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies to support recovery and improve quality of life.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

CORU registration required.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.

Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

The Organisation has facilities for mainstream residential care, single occupancy centres and preparation for leaving care centres. Each individual centre has a Statement of Purpose and Function in line with the National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres 2018 which outlines the specific details of each individual centre.

This service provides residential and community services to adults and children with complex needs. Guided by The Disability Act 2005, Mental Health Act 2001, HIQA and National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres, Children First, Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults and Policies and Procedures.
