Job Title: Temporary Speech and Language Therapist (Staff/Senior Grade)
Location: Monaghan Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT)
Shift pattern: Day shift
Work pattern: Monday – Friday
Hours: 35 hours per week
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Monaghan CDNT on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work with children with disabilities, providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to support their communication and swallowing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs of each child.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Engage with families and caregivers, providing education and support to facilitate therapy carryover in home environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to case discussions and service planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Registration with CORU
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Must be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
- Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
- International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
