TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting Social Care Workers and a Social Care Leaders on behalf of a mainstream residential service in the following locations;

  • New Ross, Wexford – Social Care Leader and Social Care worker required
  • Glenmore, Kilkenny – Social care worker required
  • Bagnelstown, Carlow – Social care worker required

We are also hiring a Deputy Manager for New Ross on a fixed terms basis.

This service provides support and services to children and young people coming from challenging backgrounds.

All positions are full time permanent contracts.

Shifts patterns are either 2 x 24 hour shifts or 3 x 16 hour shifts)

Salary:

Social Care Leader Incremental Salary Range – €38,650 – €41,836

(salary starts at €38650 regardless of experience)

Social Care Worker Incremental Salary Range – €36,000 – €38,968

(Salary starts at €36000 regardless of experience)

Social Care Leader Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant related qualification.
  • Relevant qualifications include: Psychology (Level 8), Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences/Social Studies, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (for U12 centres), BA Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial Care, Teaching, and Nursing.
  • Driving License: A full, clean, manual driving license valid in Ireland.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork Knowledge: Understanding of the key elements of effective teamwork.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres.
  • Behavioural Experience: Experience working with teenagers with challenging behaviours.
  • Team Experience: Experience working within a team.
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention: Experience working in services where Therapeutic Crisis Intervention is used.
  • Social Care Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, including 2 years at a social care grade working with children/young persons.

Social Care Worker requirements:

  • A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant and related field.*

Relevant alternative qualifications include:

  • Level 8 in Psychology
  • Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences/Social Studies, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (for U12 centres), BA Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial Care, Teaching, and Nursing.

Other Requirements:

 

  • A full, clean manual driving license is valid in Ireland.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of effective teamwork.
  • Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centers.
  • Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour.
