TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Social Care Worker and a Social Care Leader on behalf of a mainstream service based in Monaghan.
This service provides support and services to children and young people coming from challenging backgrounds.
Both positions are full time permanent.
Social Care Leader Incremental Salary Range – €38,650 – €41,836
Social Care Worker Incremental Salary Range – €36,000 – €38,968
Social Care Leader Requirements:
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant related qualification.
- Relevant qualifications include: Psychology (Level 8), Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences/Social Studies, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (for U12 centres), BA Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial Care, Teaching, and Nursing.
- Driving License: A full, clean, manual driving license valid in Ireland.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork Knowledge: Understanding of the key elements of effective teamwork.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres.
- Behavioural Experience: Experience working with teenagers with challenging behaviours.
- Team Experience: Experience working within a team.
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention: Experience working in services where Therapeutic Crisis Intervention is used.
- Social Care Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, including 2 years at a social care grade working with children/young persons.
Social Care Worker requirements:
- A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant and related field.*
Relevant alternative qualifications include:
- Level 8 in Psychology
- Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences/Social Studies, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (for U12 centres), BA Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial Care, Teaching, and Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- A full, clean manual driving license is valid in Ireland.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of effective teamwork.
- Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centers.
- Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour.
