Practice Development Facilitator – Nursing Home

TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Practice Development Facilitator on behalf of a large Nursing Home based in North Dublin.

This is a full time permanent contract working 39 hours per week.

Package is negotiable.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead on clinical practice within the home.
  • Lead and support the person-centred care within the home and that the care of the residents comes first at all times,
  • Promote an environment for professional nursing practice which is consistent with the mission, vision and values of the home.
  • Manage the nursing staff in clinical education to ensure that the delivery of high standards of care, which is resident focused.
  • Review and enhance the current induction program for all clinical staff.
  • Ensure that there is clinical mentorship available for all staff in the home.
  • Develop and review an education rollout programme in relation to policies and procedures.
  • Develop up to date person centred nursing and carer practices through care processes, which enhance clinical effectiveness and resident out comes.

 

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills; capable of presenting to medical and non-medical staff, including:

             Persons in Charge.

             Senior Nursing Staff.

             Carers.

             Residents and families.

             All Health and Social Care professionals.

             Non Consultant Hospital Doctors.

             Bed Managers.

Education

Essential ;

Educated to degree level.

(Nursing Qualification or equivalent).

Experience in working in care of the elderly.

Completed training in Presentation Skills, Train the Trainer or similar.

Desirable ;   Qualification or  experience working in Quality and Compliance
