Job Title: Temporary General Nurse
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Nurse to join our team on a temporary basis in Portlaoise, Co. Laois for day shifts and some night shifts also. Applicants would need to ideally have some surgical experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring patient progress. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
– Monitor patient progress and report any changes to medical staff
– Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
– Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
– Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff
– Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Skills and Qualifications:
– Active NMBI registration
– Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Flexibility to work various shifts as required
