Medical Scientist – Microbiology
We are seeking a motivated Medical Scientist to join our Microbiology Laboratory team on a 12-month temporary contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine microbiology laboratory testing and sample processing.
- Support the delivery and development of high-quality laboratory services.
- Participate in quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory accreditation activities.
- Assist with laboratory safety, equipment evaluation, and service improvement initiatives.
- Provide cross-cover within the laboratory and participate in an on-call rota when required.
- Contribute to audits, inspections, and the maintenance of quality management systems.
Requirements:
- BSc in Biomedical Science or a related scientific discipline (or currently completing a CORU-approved qualification).
- CORU registration, eligibility for registration, or currently applying for registration.
- ACSLM membership or eligibility for membership.
- Professional, flexible, and team-oriented approach to work.
