Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and individual counselling with clients. Establish appropriate counselling contracts and maintain an assigned caseload.
- Manage and appropriately bring clinical governance issues to Coordinator – risk, child protection etc.
- Effectively communicate with team members, other professionals and clients to ensure an integrated service provision and inform, facilitate and refer clients as appropriate in accessing healthcare and support services.
- Maintain appropriate client records, databases and statistics in accordance with HSE requirements and local guidelines
- Engage and participate in Case Management Supervision, team meetings, external supervision and continuing professional development initiatives as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Experience:
Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements
Level 7 or higher qualification (on the QQI framework) in a human science discipline (e.g., medical, psychological, social, or educational) or in health and social care.
PLUS one of the following:

Option A:
- Hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognized by:
- The Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP)
- Or one of the five sections of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP)
- Have full accredited membership with IACP or one of the five sections of ICP.
- Pre-accredited hours: You must have at least 100 hours of one-on-one counselling or psychotherapy with adult clients under the supervision of an IACP/ICP-accredited supervisor.
- Hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognized by:

Option B:
- Be a full member of the Clinical or Counselling Psychology Division of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
- Full driving license and access to own car is desirable.
- Resident in Ireland and legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
- All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
- International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
