TTM Healthcare Solutions are recruiting a Chief Medical Scientist in Microbiology on behalf of a public hospital in Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the microbiology laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely testing of samples.
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers on microbiological testing and interpretation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement research projects and clinical trials.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in microbiology and integrate them into laboratory practices.
- Mentor and train junior staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
- CORU registration and DOH&C qualifications.
- Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience; 2 years in staff and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in Quality, Audit, People or Healthcare Management.
